Seven en-suite rooms with air conditioning, all carefully furnished and some with garden view, immersed in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside.
You can wake up in the morning in peaceful green surroundings, where the silence is only interrupted by birdsong.
Then a rich breakfast, of sweet and savoury foods, mainly zero kilometre and most cooked by us from traditional recipes. This is all served in our Fienile Room or outside, overlooking the large gardens; it will be the start of a wonderful day to experience in Tuscany.
Then you can enjoy a wealth of different experiences: visiting the cities and villages of Tuscany, from Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, and Lucca to Pisa, or touring round the countryside of Chianti, or even e-bike or trekking excursions in the Chianti hills.
If you would rather spend time just relaxing, you can do this in the large garden with pool at Casale La Gora and book lunch with us so that you don’t have to interrupt your relaxing day.
We want to help you build the type of holiday you want, tailored to your needs. We can also create reserved areas for your rooms, consisting of 2 – 3 – 5 rooms.

Suite Tortorelle
You will often see turtle doves [tortorelle], pairs of collared doves. Their flight is agile, accompanied by sudden swooping onto trees or the lawn. You can admire their tone-on-tone beige plumage and listen to their monotone – yet familiar – calls.

Suite Usignolo
The nightingale [usignolo] is difficult to see because it is well camouflaged by the trees. It is easy to love this bird, thanks to its fascinating melodic song. Nightingales can be heard at dusk and dawn, but also often throughout the day. There are some here, and one of them lives on the oak tree that gives shade to the car park.

Merlo Room
The blackbird [merlo] with its yellow beak, is cheeky and noisy with a loud, varied song. It whistles, warbles and trills, and it can be found flat on the grass, “sunbathing”.

Upupa Room
If you manage to see a hoopoe [upupa], you’ll be enchanted A red crest that opens into a fan, long pointed beak, and extremely bright, inquisitive eyes. A beautiful bird. The call of the hoopoe is repetitive and does not do justice to the beauty of the bird.

Pettirosso Room
This room takes its name from the little robin [pettirosso] we found here one day, quietly watching us from the sill of the arched window. It is a small bird but with huge courage, and it is willing to defend its territory to the death. It sings all year round.

Verzellino Room
The serin [verzellino] has a lovely, happy song. It is an extremely lively bird, always on the move, whether building a nest or spending its day in search of food. It is small and graceful but not easy to see, although you will hear it often.

Capinera Room
At the bottom of Casale’s garden, you will hear the loud, sweet song of the blackcap [capinera], as it expands its powerful little lungs. Elegant in its grey livery with black head, this is a shy bird, but it is particularly cunning when it comes to leading predators away from its nest.
